Lunchtime is one of my favorite times to get things done (TM).

However, I recognize that it can also be a time for relaxation, or

There are lots of things I can do during my lunch hour.

- Work through lunch
- Exercise
- Meditate
- Take a nice, leisurely hour to eat my lunch
- Go home and clean or exercise my dogs
- Read through part of a book
- Catch up on my professional networks and correspondence
- GTD review (unless I'm very busy, it normally doesn't take me 2 hours)
- Grocery shopping or other errands

I would love some form of written organization to provide me with options for lunch hour - for example, I like working on my foreign language software, but sometimes forget about it for weeks at a time. If I captured this on a list I might go "hmm, haven't done that in a while."

In theory, I could work through my GTD context lists, but I have the option of doing my @ computer, @ phone, @ desk, or @ errands list, so that's a rather open list - and, as I mentioned, I think it's important to have some unstructured me-building time.

I'm just wondering if anyone else encounters anything like this, and if I do write down a list of things I could do with my lunch hour, where would I put it? Contexts? Agendas?

"It is easy for me to maintain an absolutely clear focus in managing all the loose ends in my life by focusing on all the successfull outcomes that i am destined to fulfill on this planet"

Hi All!

I am in search for a lo tech gadget: A clipboard that will hold Classic size pages (8.5" x 5.5"). I have come accross mini clipboards but they are often about a 1/2 to 1/4 inch too short!

There are times I want to use my DIY pages for classic binder, but I dont want to carry the binder with me to the meeting. I thought that clipboard would be a great solution, but...they are nowhere to be found.

Thanks in advance!

Dear all,

Although I know this is not directly connected to GTD system, I will send my question anyway because I know that everyone has dealt somehow with this.

I just read (for another time) David's GTD chapter about projects, and I have understood the theory, but I'm struggling in practice.

I try to get from Brainstorming phase to an nice organization set of documents, but I keep being entangled in the massive amount of details of a project.

Are you aware of an online tutorial, document and/or software tool that could help me teach and train myself in organizing a project?

My projects usually are involving the most 3 persons.

I would like to be teached on how to 'Organize' my brainstorm ideas and reach the next actions and keep event sequences under control.

Thank you
Costas

What do you think? Would you pay $5-$10 a month for something like this?

I love GTD's next action thought process..I've been involved with GTD from the onset...The lists are a big problem for me...I simply get more done by making a list for the day...I know this goes against the grain of GTD. I have no problem with @ Home...It's the business stuff.
Also, I rely on the record of what actualy happened today...who promised me what...what milestones were met...etc...
Hope I've made myself clear and I would appreciate any suggestions...

I'd appreciate it if you'd tell me which things you find are done best by the electronics and best by the paper.

Calendar/daily schedule?
Next actions/waiting for, etc lists?

I ask because I was thinking of keeping next action, etc. lists (in an outliner) in my PDA along with contact info, but using paper planner for month at a glance, daily appointments and taking notes in during the day. I should add that the outliner for the next actions has both PDA and desktop versions so I can enter new info and work with the lists either on the palm or desktop. This allows me to have the benefit of the paper display for the better visual overview and the benefits of an outliner for keeping lists of projects/subprojects. I'll add that it is tempting to just go back to the time design planner and using all paper.

Thoughts?

Thanks for your time.
